What is a place-based story you have that tells us something fun about where you teach? If you feel comfortable, post a photo for us to see!

One of the most joyful things about teaching in rural Vermont happened just last week. The whole school left their classrooms early one morning in late April to go across the street to the dairy farm to watch the cows come out to pasture for the first time this spring. The kids gathered and watched as the cows left the dairy barn for the first time since the Fall, and ran out to the green hills on the farm, like kids running out to recess on a warm, sunny spring day. This year, we saw 300 cows set free to roam in the pastures surrounding our school. The joy and excitement from the kids (and the cows) could be seen and felt everywhere at this fun event, "The Miller Farm Cow Dance."
