Marilyn Price-Mitchell PhD

Dr. Marilyn Price-Mitchell is a Fellow at the Institute for Social Innovation at Fielding Graduate University and author of Tomorrow's Change Makers: Reclaiming the Power of Citizenship for a New Generation. Her research focuses on youth development, education, youth civic engagement, and parent-school-community partnerships. Creator of The Compass Advantage -- a framework for understanding and applying positive youth development -- Dr. Price-Mitchell writes at the intersection of education and child development at Psychology Today and Roots of Action and regularly speaks to audiences of parents and educators. She co-founded the National ParentNet Association (now the WA State Family & Community Engagement Trust) in 2001, a nonprofit devoted to building family, school, and community partnerships that support youth.
