How do you show students your genuine passion for what you teach?
As the school year settles into its rhythm, I’ve been thinking about how a teacher’s curiosity and enthusiasm for learning can shape a student’s experience. It made me wonder about the small, everyday ways this shows up in classrooms, so I wanted to ask: How do you show students your genuine passion for what you teach?
Maybe it’s a tangent you can’t help taking. A question about a particular topic that still excites you, or even a favorite artifact, demo, text, problem, or story you keep coming back to to bring your lesson to life. I’d especially love to hear what you do to make that interest visible, and what you’ve noticed in how your students respond.
Thanks in advance for your reply! I’m really looking forward to reading what you have to say.
