Do you allow students to use their notes during assessments?

If you allow open-note testing, how do you structure your questions so they rigorously measure higher-order thinking?

Do you limit the types of notes they can bring (e.g., a single cheat sheet vs. the whole binder)?

Do you find that it meaningfully reduces test anxiety?
