Tracy Mertens

Tracy Mertens is the founder of True Nature Kids, an organization providing outdoor and nature-based learning experiences that empower the spirit of every child. She previously taught outdoor preschool at Fiddleheads Forest School and directed Little Trees Early Learning Center in the Seattle area. She received a BA in Sociology and Anthropology from Lewis & Clark College and an MA in Early Childhood Education Inclusive Curriculum and Instruction from Portland State University. Her master’s program action research project focused on nurturing children’s spirituality through intergenerational narratives in a children’s ministry setting.
