Tara Olagaray

Working in K-6 public education for 27 years in the diverse city of Stockton, California, I have experienced teaching in four different public schools. My roles have included various K-6 self-contained classrooms, physical education, and reading specialist. I currently work for Aspire Public School as the program manager of their teacher residency program. In partnership with Alder’s Graduate School of Education, I work with a diverse group of mentors and resident teachers at 16 school sites. As a white, female, anti-racist teacher, I strive to enhance all students’ learning experiences through student-centered, culturally relevant, and sustaining multimodal lessons.
