Sarah McMenamin

Director of Early Childhood

Sarah McMenamin has been an educator for 25 years and is currently the Director of the Early Childhood Division at Germantown Friends School, an independent day school in Philadelphia for students in preschool through twelfth grade. She received her Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas and her Doctorate in Educational and Organizational Research from the University of Pennsylvania. Her dissertation research examined social class and socioeconomic status in an independent school setting. She believes that early childhood is the most important time in a child’s education because it forms the foundation for students to become critical thinkers and lifelong learners.
