Renee Moore

Retired English Teacher

Renee Moore was the 2001 Mississippi Teacher of the Year and a Milken Education Award winner. She co-authored Teaching 2030 (2011) and blogs at TeachMoore. She was profiled in Teacherpreneurs: Innovative Teachers Who Lead But Don’t Leave (2013). A National Board certified teacher, she also served on the board of directors of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards and as co-chair of its certification council (2008-2016). Moore received the Vickers Award for Excellence in Teaching of English (2013). She retired in June 2021 after teaching English for 30 years.
