Rebecca Lefroy

Literature and Language Teacher

Rebecca Lefroy is a literature and language teacher at Lexington Christian Academy. She previously taught for five years at a large public school in England, where she also led the middle school English department. One area of passion is exploring how the arts can be used to inform one another. Her master’s thesis investigated how a field trip to an art museum can help students discuss and use more conceptual ideas in their own reading and writing. She is also passionate about teacher training and while in the UK served as a teacher leader on the University of Cambridge’s Post-Graduate Certificate in Education course in secondary English teaching. Here, she interviewed, mentored, and trained teachers, encouraging them to develop links between their own research and practice. She has also served as a contributor and peer review for the National Association for Teaching English’s educational journal, English in Education.
