Pérsida and Bill are associate professors at Millersville University in southeastern Pennsylvania. They are the authors of several books and articles, including the ASCD best-seller Total Participation Techniques: Making Every Student an Active Learner.
Pérsida has been an elementary and middle school teacher in bilingual and multilingual classrooms and a district administrator serving English language learners in a high-incidence district. Bill is a former teacher of English as a second language and speech pathologist. He is a frequent speaker on issues related to increasing student engagement and teaching English language learners.
