I've been a science teacher, a track and volleyball coach, a high school guidance counselor, a high school assistant principal, a middle school principal, and next year, I'll move to the central office as our district's college, career and testing coordinator. I'm all about the power of relationships. I spoke about their power at length on Sung Lee's Inspiring Educator's podcast:


This is my 31st year teaching high school social studies. My classes include 9th grade Global Studies and dual enrollment World Civilization to upperclassmen. My students receive their college credit from Columbus State. In 2014, my book "You've Gotta Connect" was published. YGC helps teachers form those essential bonds with students: I've also discussed the power of relationships...and promoted ways in which educators can create such bonds, on various podcasts:
