Matt Homrich-Knieling is an educator, youth organizer, and writer in Detroit. He was awarded the Middle School Educator of the Year in 2019 by the Michigan Association of Middle School Educators. Matt strives to ground his teaching and organizing in culturally sustaining pedagogies, antiracism, and restorative practices. His work as a youth organizer primarily focuses on the intersection of immigration and education justice.
