Lead Program Facilitator for Lead by Learning

Malia is a proud Oakland native and a product of the Oakland Unified School District. During her six years of teaching in Oakland, Malia took on leadership roles focused on improving teacher practice and students’ growth and development in academics and social-emotional learning. Now, as a lead program facilitator with Lead by Learning, Malia facilitates collaborative inquiry for teachers and leaders throughout the Bay Area. Malia received her B.A. from Occidental College and her teaching credential and master's degree at U.C. Berkeley.
