California Junior in Experiential Wilderness High School Program
Editor's Note: Lily Boyar is a student from Marin County, CA, who interned at Edutopia in Spring of 2011, when she was a high school junior. She attended a year-long experiential education program called Team. Team was made up of 24 students from three major public high schools in the district. For an entire year they experienced what it was like to be an independent learner, including a semester-long internship in a local organization.
