
Laura Khanna
Upper School Director, Khan Lab School
Laura Khanna is the upper school director at Khan Lab School. Throughout her career in independent schools, she trained teachers in research-based educational frameworks and developed innovative programs that center student voices and promote agency and empowerment. She is passionate about project-based learning, and has taught classes in physics, astronomy, computer science, geometry, chemistry, geology, biophysics, and education. Laura holds a B.A. in Astrophysics from Barnard College, an MA in Astronomy from UCLA, an MA in Education from Columbia University, and a PhD in Astronomy and Astrophysics from UCLA.
