Larisa Bukalov

High School Math Teacher

Larisa Bukalov is a four-time recipient of the Math for America Master Teacher fellowship and a 2017 recipient of the Queens College Excellence in Mathematics Award for promoting mathematics teaching as a profession. Larisa has taught all levels of math from pre-algebra to calculus, coached the school’s math team, and created a math research program for students.

As the Mathematical Association of America (MAA)'s official liaison for Ukraine, she runs MAA contests in the country for students and professional development for teachers. Larisa is the co-author of two books: The Math Teacher’s Toolbox and Practical Algebra: A Self-Teaching Guide.
