Kim Mishkin is head of school at Hudson Lab School and a veteran educator with over 33 years of experience in fostering meaningful learning. She writes about educational innovation, including in her article “Learning ‘FOR REAL’,” to explore how project-based learning (PBL) brings academic content to life. Kim empowers students in kindergarten through eighth grade to become curious and resilient problem-solvers. She was recognized in 2025 as the Individual PBL Champion by PBLWorks for her leadership in deepening and expanding PBL.
