I started teaching high school social studies in 1991 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. In 2003 I was hired as an assistant principal and continued in this position until 2014. In 2014, I returned to college (the University of Alabama) and completed my Ph.D. in secondary administration. I am currently an assistant professor at Charleston Southern University in Charleston, South Carolina, where I teach pre-service teachers in undergraduate courses.
