Katie Linehan

Middle School ELA Teacher

Katie Linehan is a seventh-grade ELA teacher in the Chicago area. She has been teaching middle school language arts for 26 years and enjoys the opportunity to share her love of reading and learning with students at this grade level. She believes that seventh graders are a marvelous mix of creativity, curiosity, and individuality. Katie graduated from Saint Mary’s College in South Bend, Indiana with a BA in English and elementary education and from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois with an MA in liberal studies with a concentration in English literature. She is a National Board–certified teacher and lifelong learner who loves to research and incorporate new ways to engage students in their reading. When she isn’t teaching or reading, you can find Katie hiking on a forest preserve trail, trying a new recipe, or attending the opera, her latest learning adventure.
