Kathryn L. Roberts is a professor of reading, language, and literature in the College of Education at Wayne State University in Detroit. She conducts research, writes, and speaks widely on content-area literacy, early literacy, and comprehension of graphical components of text. Her work has appeared in Journal of Social Studies Research, Journal of Teacher Education, The Reading Teacher, ASCD Express, and ReadWriteThink. She is also the co-editor of the book Real Classrooms, Real Teachers: The C3 Inquiry in Practice.
