In his career as a writer, Jim Paterson authored stories for a range of national and regional publications, including the Washington Post, USA Today, the Christian Science Monitor and Parent Magazine, Hopkins Magazine, Baltimore Magazine and Washingtonian. For the past eight years he has also been an award-winning school counselor, the head of a school counseling department at a revitalized school, and an educational consultant – and now writes about education for more than 20 national publications.
