Jim Heal
Director of New Initiatives, Deans for Impact
Jim is the director of new initiatives at Deans for Impact (DFI), a nonprofit organization that works with educator preparation programs around the country to infuse learning science principles into teaching practice. Prior to joining DFI, he worked at Harvard University's Research Schools International, developing research-to-practice strategies for schools and school systems. Prior to that, he was a classroom teacher and principal. He holds a postgraduate degree in education from King’s College London, as well as a master’s degree in school leadership, and a doctorate in education leadership from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education.
