Jeff Gilliland

Communications Associate, Young Playwrights' Theater

Jeff Gilliland is a writer, performer and arts administrator with experience in community management, programming and development. A native of Berkeley, California, Jeff received his Bachelor of Arts in English, with distinction, from Stanford University. There he co-wrote two student musicals and a student television show, performed with an a cappella jazz and comedy group and starred in the musical Aida. After college he traveled to Los Angeles, where he worked for a number of entertainment and e-commerce startups. After writing the biography of his great-uncle, Jeff got his Master of Arts in the Humanities from the University of Chicago and transitioned into nonprofit administration. This is his first time living in Washington, DC, and he is excited to be working for such an inspiring organization!
