Ileana Sherry

High School Teacher

Ileana Sherry is an interdisciplinary high school educator who has been teaching for the past 5 years in classrooms that combine English and history curriculum. Her favorite part of teaching is creating a classroom culture based on relationships and student voice in order for each student to thrive. She earned a Masters in Teaching from Trinity University. She has published interdisciplinary curriculum at Trinity University’s Digital Commons including First Week Intro: Growth and Vulnerability (10th grade AP World History and English II) and Hall of Fame Scientists: Exploring identity through the examples of famous scientists using biology and English. Last year, she wrote on One-on-One Conferences as a Tool for Building a Rapport With Students.
