George Lucas Educational Foundation

Grace Rubenstein

Former senior producer at Edutopia

I'm lucky to have a job that marries my passion for journalism with the opportunity to celebrate and spread the word about great innovations in public education. The best part: when I get to travel the country, meet the brave and inspired educators who are blazing trails out there, see how they do it, and tell their stories.

Prior to joining the George Lucas Educational Foundation in 2005, I was an education reporter at the Lawrence, Massachusetts, Eagle-Tribune and a Boston Globe correspondent. I've written for Parenting magazine, and I'm also an amateur student of psychology and neuroscience, having previously worked in a depression research clinic at Massachusetts General Hospital. I'm a Bay Area native and, besides journalism and education, a fan of the outdoors, hiking, cooking, dancing, NPR, and baseball. Go Giants!
