Erika Kersey

Erika Kersey is an elementary principal in Virginia. She has been a supervisor of professional learning and assistant principal, and has served as a clinical coach for the University of Virginia’s graduate and undergraduate teacher licensure programs. Previously, she was an elementary teacher, most recently in gifted education. She has a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction and another in administration and supervision, and is National Board-certified in exceptional needs/gifted education. She has been involved in education for more than 25 years in New York, Wyoming, New Mexico, and Virginia. She is a mother of six and stepmother to four. Erika is passionate about empowering students and teachers to find joy in learning and teaching that is rooted in trust and collaboration.
