Emilia Caturano

Emilia Caturano is a high school English teacher for East Haven Public Schools in East Haven, Connecticut, where she has worked since 2013. She has been the faculty advisor to the school newspaper, The Comet, since 2017. She has taken the newspaper digital and has worked to bring back community interest in the news with a student-driven approach to learning. She uses her background in educational technology to foster student engagement and is always looking for new ways to encourage student agency and independence in authentic learning. She earned her M.E.T. from Boise State University.
