Dr Jane Hunter

Senior Lecturer conducting postdoctoral research in STEM education

I am conducting postdoctoral research in STEM education at the University of Technology, Sydney. I work with postgraduate students, school leaders and communities to understand and support education change. A book I wrote was published in March 2015 "Technology Integration and High Possibility Classrooms: Building from TPACK"; it is leading new ways of enacting pedagogy in school classrooms. I have received national and international teaching awards for outstanding contributions to student learning in higher education. I enjoy writing; publishing my work regularly in professional magazines, on the HPC blog, in newspaper opinion pieces and in peer reviewed journals. I present my research at national and international education conferences. In Sept-Nov 2015 I was a visiting scholar at the College of William & Mary, Williamsburg, VA, USA teaching multimedia design and production to doctoral students.

Favourite education quote from John Dewey: "Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself".
