I co-founded Green Schools Initiative because I want our children's schools to be healthy places to learn, work, and play, and to model the sustainable, green communities we want. We catalyze and support “green” actions by kids, teachers, parents, and policymakers to create zero waste, toxics-free, carbon- neutral schools. We do this by engaging teachers, parents, students, and administrators in reducing the environmental footprint of their school through hands-on action projects that fit with inquiry-based education and service learning.
