Danielle Orfanidis

Kindergarten teacher, passionate educator of early literacy and writing , Google and technology advocate , life-long learner

I have spent the last 13 years teaching Kindegarten at the Jersey Shore. My love for literacy is evident in my commitment to balanced literacy, Readers Workshop / Writers Workshop and Wilson Language. I look for every opportunity I can to infuse technology, STEM and 21st century learning into my kindergarten classroom. Serving as one of our school's PLC team leaders, I believe in shared visions and goal setting within a school community to enhance student learning and success.

Outside of the classroom, I serve as a coach for our school's Girls on The Run program and work part time for Easter Seals of NJ .

In 2013 I was awarded the "Outstanding Cooperating Teacher " award from Monmouth University . I recently graduated with an MEd in Educational Leadership and am an aspiring school leader!
