Charmaine Shortt

Vice Principal and Sessional Instructor

Charmaine Shortt enjoyed over 20 years of classroom teaching and is now a district vice principal and a sessional instructor for pre-service teachers. She lives on a farm in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia, on the traditional territories of the W̱SÁNEĆ people. Through all facets of her work, she hopes to bring to light the vitality of social and emotional leadership in supporting educators who weave social and emotional learning into all classroom practices. Charmaine delights in running and hiking with her dog and spending time with her husband and two grown children.
