Catrina Jacobs

Elementary Teacher in Phoenix, Arizona

I am from North Dakota where I received my undergrad degree from North Dakota State University. This will be my 10th year of teaching for the Pendergast Elementary School District in Phoenix, Arizona. The first seven years were spent teaching physical education to kindergarten through eighth grade students. During that time I assisted with creating the district physical education curriculum while obtaining a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix. Eager for a new challenge, I took a few reading classes and became certified to teach in the classroom. This will be my third year teaching 2nd Grade. Although my focus is now in the classroom, I continue to support and coordinate extracurricular activities and athletic events for the district as well.
