Carleigh Race

Science Teacher

Carleigh has been in the classroom for almost a decade. She has taught middle school science, as well as biology and social and cultural anthropology to seniors in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP). She has held various teacher leader roles throughout her career, including grade and content team lead. Carleigh is passionate about place-based learning and helping students connect what they do in school with the world around them. She holds a bachelor’s in public health from San Diego State University and a master’s in biology from the Global Field Program at Miami University (Ohio).
