Bridget Riley

Middle School Social Studies Teacher

Bridget Riley is a middle school social studies teacher and advisor. She has served as a diversity, enquiry, and inclusion leader for her school and has served on the 2022 content curation task force for Educating for American Democracy. Bridget earned her Ph.D. in history from the University of Toronto. Bridget’s recent article, “Missing Women: Tackling Gender Imbalance in Social Studies Textbooks,” is featured in the January 2022 issue of the American Historical Society publication, Perspectives. Bridget lives in Kensington, Maryland, with her husband and three children.
