Brenna Lamprey & Beth Reilly

5th Grade Teacher & Preschool Special Education Teacher with a focus on Autism Spectrum Disorders

Brenna Lamprey is a 5th grade teacher and Beth Reilly is a Special Education teacher at Harbison West Elementary in Columbia, SC. Lamprey received her Master's degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Carolina and has taught for seven years. Reilly received her Bachelor's degree in Special Education from Winthrop University and has taught for nine years. This year we teamed up to create Project Au-Some, which allowed the 5th graders, the Big Buddies, to volunteer their recess time to plan and teach lessons to teach the preschoolers, the Little Buddies, important developmental skills. In February of 2016,the Big Buddies accompanied the Little Buddies to the district's Special Olympics Young Athlete’s Expo and continued to assist all the 4 year old preschoolers in PE weekly. Our mission is to build community, empathy and acceptance through social skills.
