Ayanna King

High School English Teacher

Ayanna King is a secondary-level educator with experience teaching in both public and private schools for the last 20 years. As a graduate of Indiana University and Butler University, Ayanna is dedicated to preserving the fundamentals of the educational institution while meeting the diverse needs of the 21st century student. She has received two Lilly Teacher Creativity Grants and has presented at the College Board’s Dream Deferred conference. She is currently teaching Introduction to World Literature and Composition, American Studies, and African American Literature at Saint Ignatius College Prep in Chicago, Illinois.
