Amy Broemmel

Associate Professor, Elementary and Literacy Education

Amy Broemmel works primarily with graduate teaching interns and doctoral students in elementary education at the University of Tennessee. She has a long history of supporting teachers’ literacy instruction and values bringing engaging science instruction into elementary classrooms. Collaborating with her friend and science educator, Kristin Rearden, gives her the opportunity to find meaningful ways to use high quality picture books that include accurate science content and can benefit both students’ literacy development and their science content knowledge.
