Adrianna Smyth

High School Teacher

Adrianna Smyth has been involved in public and independent school education for over 30 years. She began teaching science courses in Northern California public schools before pursuing graduate degrees in the field of ecology. She entered the world of independent schools upon completion of her PhD, and currently serves as the Science Department chair at The Bay School of San Francisco. Adrianna has substantial background in project-based learning and has a keen interest in developing experiential educational programs that engage students directly with problems related to environmental issues and social justice.
