I’m looking for strategies to get my 6th grade science students to read and follow directions.

I teach 6th grade science and I have 5 sections of 29+ students.  What are some strategies that teachers have developed/created to deal with the "TikTok length" attention spans?  What are strategies to get students to follow directions?

Students do not listen to directions nor do they read directions.  I am having to give individualized instructions 150 times.  Trying to differentiate my lessons is exhausting me.
