Rachel Fuhrman

High School Math Teacher

Rachel is currently a ninth-grade algebra teacher in New Orleans, Louisiana. She also teaches 11th-grade math for students in the International Baccalaureate program. She began her career in Harlem, New York, where she taught math to sixth graders for three years. She recently earned her master of science degree in education studies from the Johns Hopkins University School of Education. She is passionate about improving educational equity and strives to serve traditionally underserved communities. Additionally, she plans to pursue a PhD in education policy in the future in order to further identify avenues through which to support all students in achieving at the highest levels.
