I began teaching in Houston in 2000 through Teach For America. After 3 years of teaching 5th grade in Houston ISD, I transitioned to YES Prep Public Schools and have been here ever since! I have taught ELA in grades 6-10 and also served in various instructional leadership positions including Dean of Instruction, Literacy Specialist, and Manager of Instructional Coaching. I currently manage YES Prep's digital presence - our website content, blog, and social media channels.
