I began teaching in 1986 and have been a public school classroom teacher in every grade, Kdg-5th, except 1st. Moving to Hawaii in 2010, I was the PreK-5th grade science teacher at a private school 2yrs. For the next 2yrs I was the PreK-5th engineering & design teacher/science coordinator at that same school. In 2014 I moved to my current job at 'Iolani School, Honolulu, HI...I am the Kdg-6th grade S.T.E.M./FabLab teacher. You can follow the work in the Lab on our blog or follow us on Twitter. Originally from NY State, I have a MA from Columbia University-Teacher College in Curriculum and Teaching and have presented at various conferences both in Hawaii and on the mainland.
