Matt Alexander

Matt Alexander is co-founder and co-director of June Jordan School for Equity in San Francisco.

Matt Alexander has two decades of experience as a teacher and administrator in the San Francisco public schools. In the early 2000s, he helped lead the community organizing effort which resulted in the founding of June Jordan School for Equity. From 2001 to 2003, Matt served as Educator-in-Residence at Linda Darling-Hammond's School Redesign Network at Stanford University. Prior to that, he taught social studies at Balboa High School. Matt has a B.A. in history from Yale University and an M.A. in Education from the Stanford Teacher Education Program.
