Maddi Bodine

Early Childhood Educator

Maddi Bodine is a 2019–20 Teach Plus Illinois Early Childhood Educator Senior Fellow. Maddi teaches early childhood special education at Kingston Elementary School in Kingston, Illinois, where she also serves as an area representative for her district’s union and is a member of the DeKalb Basics team through DeKalb County’s Regional Office of Education. She facilitates professional development workshops specifically for early childhood teachers at her local regional office of education. Maddi previously taught in a self-contained autism program at Southbury Elementary School in Oswego, Illinois. She graduated from Illinois State University with a BS in special education and received her MEd in literacy education with a focus on bilingual/ESL from Northern Illinois University.
