Liza Raynal

As an alum of and former teacher at The Nueva School, Liza Raynal deeply appreciates a progressive and constructivist approach where kids work together with adults to hunt and make meaning. Now head of Nueva's Middle School, she works closely with faculty and staff to create an environment of innovation and reflection for the next generation of Nueva students. Her deep belief in the capacity of middle schoolers means much of her focus is on supporting a program that challenges their bright minds and big hearts. A second-generation educator and third-generation San Franciscan, Liza feels lucky to be teaching and learning in the Bay.
