Laura Kammes-Bumm

Laura Kammes-Bumm has been teaching English at the high school level in Glen Ellyn, Illinois for 15 years. After a positive response from reading end-of-the-year thank you letters to her students on the last day of school, she decided to find other opportunities to incorporate letter writing into her teaching. Her passion for ongoing growth complements her pursuit of practice relevant to her students. Her pedagogy is based on the philosophy that to become great writers, students need only have a clear purpose and the opportunity to write.
