Assistant Professor of Special Education
Katie Menko is an assistant professor of special education at Hope College, where she prepares future educators to create inclusive, student-centered learning environments. Before entering higher education, she spent 10 years as a middle school resource room teacher and interventionist, working closely with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Her current work centers on advocating for Universal Design for Learning and improving access to meaningful learning opportunities for all students—especially through the thoughtful use of digital tools.
