Katie Bienkowski

Currently serving as an Instructional Design Coach (K-12), Katie Bienkowski has 23 years of experience in education. She is passionate about literacy, specifically the importance of integrating literacy across the disciplines. In her role, Katie partners with teachers in meaningful and ongoing ways to design and deliver engaging literacy instruction to learners. In 2022, Dr. Bienkowski published her dissertation, “Like a Whole Thing”: Sensemaking in One Sixth Grade Classroom, which considers how learners use collaborative dialogue to make sense of texts.
