ESOL Educator

Karissa Knox Sorrell is an ESOL Educator with 19 years of teaching experience. She has taught both elementary and secondary English Learners and has also been an English Language Development (ELD) Coach working with teachers of English Learners. She is passionate about advocating for immigrant and refugee students. Karissa is also a poet, writer, and avid reader. After teaching in the Nashville, Tennessee area for eighteen years, Karissa currently teaches ESOL in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
