I have served as a K/1 and middle school teacher, while also working in the after-school setting. I completely transitioned from the classroom to after school in order to apply what I learned to advance the quality and impact of those programs. I believe that what happens after school should be aligned with the school day and lead with the same passion, expertise, and commitment.
I now have over 15 years’ experience in the after-school setting, providing programs and training after-school leaders. It is my goal to design content that infuses theory and creativity, and pushes to close achievement gaps. I am currently enrolled in a master’s in education with a focus on curriculum and methods.
