Workforce Initiatives

I have over 19 years of experience in education from preschool to post-secondary, in the classroom as well as after-school. I have provided professional development for over 2,500 educational professionals from Washington, DC, to Hawaii, most recently serving as a facilitator for the California Teaching Fellows Academy. My time in the classroom informed many of my practices working in out-of-school time. I believe that what happens after school should align with the school day and lead with the same passion, expertise, and commitment. I currently work in workforce initiatives, which is at the intersection of education, career development, and community partnership, with one of the main goals being to work in collaboration with schools and those who serve youth to help them thrive.
